2017 년 12월 17 일 산행 Limehouse CA (Conservation Area) 안내입니다.
이번달 산행은 박인석 (Maurice) 신 회장, 박연정 (Jacob) 부회장님께서 직접 리드하십니다. (저는 휴가입니다.)
Car Pool출발장소: 4722 Yonge St., Shell Gas Station,
시간: 오전 8 시
Fee: $15 ($10 for Car pool, $5 coffee and membership fee)
산행 장소: Limehouse CA (Conservation Area) 작년 12월, 우리 산행에서 가셨던 장소임.
준비물: 따뜻한 물 약 1리터, 도시락과 스낵,
복장 : 등산화, 모자, 장갑, 하이킹 스틱, 각반 (gaiters),
Coffee Break – Tim Holtons Coffee Shop 에서 잠깐 머무릅니다.

Directions to Trail parking lot:
- Follow ON-401 W to Trafalgar Rd/Halton Regional Rd 3 in Halton Hills. Take exit 328 from ON-401 W (41 km)
- Continue on Trafalgar Rd/Halton Regional Rd 3 to your destination (11 km)
- Turn left onto 17 Side Rd (2.8 km)
- Turn right onto 5th Line
- Turn right (9m) to CA parking lot - Limehouse Conservation Area

Trail Head:
- Take a very short Blue Side Road (Limehouse trail)
- Turn left to follow white main trail till “Hole in the Wall”
- Turn right on white main trail till 22 Side Road, follow White Main trail until 5 side Road.
- Turn right on 5 Side Road (North bound) for 500 m on Asphalt road and to go back in the forest on white trail till 6 side road
- Turn back to return (look for lunch spot)
- Depending on the time, take CA trail – Black Creek Side Trail loop (RED) to return to White Main Trail and back to parking lot (total distance in Blue is 13-14 km, easy and moderate)
Limehouse Conservation Area is located on the Niagara Escarpment near Limehouse, Ontario and is owned and operated by Credit Valley Conservation. It is within the watershed of the Credit River, being bisected by its tributary, the Black Creek. Redside dace, a provincially threatened species of fish,[2] is found there.[3] The area is known for a system of deep rock fissures and crevices, some of which are accessible from a trail via ladders at the location known as the "Hole in the Wall".[3] Remains of the 19th century lime kilns can be found in the area, making it a site of the regional cultural heritage.
Limehouse Conservation Area contains 190 acres of spectacular meadows, varied mature forests, limestone crevices and deep fissures on the Niagara Escarpment. Nestled within one of the last old growth forests in Ontario, the Bruce Trail takes visitors through the “hole in the wall” - one of nature’s glacial fissures, over beautiful Black Creek, mill remnants and past impressive lime kilns dating to the 1800s.
